While we know many of you, like us, miss stepping inside the historic buildings of Willow Court, however during this temporary closure, we’ve listened to your messages, comments, and stories — and we’ve created something truly unique.

Introducing our newest experience:

A rare opportunity to explore the grounds of the Barracks Precinct and surrounding outdoor areas of Willow Court AFTER DARK — connecting with the site’s energy, stories, and history beneath the open Tasmanian sky.

This is not your typical Paranormal Investigation — it’s an open-air journey through time, where whispers of the past meet the stillness of the night.

Respectful. Immersive. Unforgettable.

This tour will be held in all weather conditions and is held outdoors, therefore please dress appropriately.  A rain jacket or umbrella is a good option just in case.  Please wear flat, enclosed shoes, no heels or thongs permitted on tour.  As the weather can be unpredictable in Tasmania, we maybe required to make ad-hoc changes on the night due to the weather conditions as we have limited undercover areas.  We ask you to respect this decision on the night so we can provide an unforgettable experience.

This is an 18+ event.

Willow Court is Australia’s oldest continually run mental institution still on its original site.  It pre-dates Port Arthur and is located a short 30 minute drive from Hobart.

Cost: Adult $55pp + booking fee

Duration: 90 minutes

*This tour is held outdoors and has been specifically designed during the temporary closure of the Willow Court buildings due to unexpected maintenance and during the Off-Season period only (May - August)

MEETING POINT

Meet your guide outside the Willow Court Asylum Main Gates located at 11a The Avenue, New Norfolk, Tasmania (Near Agrarian Kitchen).

Please arrive at least 10minutes prior to your tour commencing as unfortunately we cannot wait for latecomers.

We take no responsibility for google maps, therefore please make sure you plan your trip in advance to avoid arriving late and missing your tour.

RESTRICTIONS

Some of the areas have small steps and may not be suitable for people who have difficulty walking up and down.  Please contact us if you would like to discuss these restrictions further.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Carefully review your tour, date and time prior to your purchase as ALL our tours are NON-REFUNDABLE.

If you are unable to attend on the date of your tour, you must give at least 14 days notice if you wish to transfer to another date, otherwise if you miss the tour entirely, you will not be eligible to transfer and you will not receive a refund.
